Spray Tanning

Spray Tanning is a much loved, popular way of enriching and enhancing the glow of your skin, leaving you feeling and looking your best. Without the risks of skin cancer and the ageing effects imposed by harmful UV sun rays. Not only is it a safer alternative to sun baking and solarium use; spray tanning allows for an even color, any time of the year.

What does it involve?

At Equinox Beauty and Cosmetic Clinic we use TechnoTan with a range of unique blends in 17 shades, to suit all skin types. Our beauty therapists will offer the best combination of solutions to achieve your desired tone.  All our tanning solutions are created using the finest naturally derived botanical and certified organic ingredients.

• BioTan Plus – Latte, Cappuccino, Mocha & Espresso
• Classic Tan – Aloe Glow, Champagne, Choc Brown & Choc Royale
• Flash Tan Original – Caramel, Crème Caramel, Choc Fudge, Choc Mousse & Ebony

What do I wear after being sprayed?

After your Spray Tan, it is best to wear loose fitting clothing that does not cling and affect the quality of your tan. It is also best to wear dark clothing that is easily washable to ensure that any tan solution that rubs onto clothing will not stain.

How long will my tan last?

Your tan, depending on your skin type, pre-tan preparation and after tan care, will generally last between 5 to 7 days for fair skin and 10 to 12 days for olive toned skin.

How long after my tan can I shower?

Your beauty therapist will advise you as to when it is best to shower after the application of your tan. As the solutions differ, the time required for the tan to develop varies. If you decide to shower too quickly, this can have an impact on the quality and colour of the tan as well as on the general duration of the tan. Between being sprayed and showering, avoid any activity that may result in perspiration as this may affect the end result of your tan.
